The Nagah developed along the Indus valley and spread throughout India and the Middle East. They have lost their lower limbs in favour of a muscular tail which can not only support their upper body but also allows them to slither at a slow pace and swim exceptionally well.

Nearly as numerous as the Nitzsche and Anklor, Nagah have not colonised the planet in anything like the same degree and their homeland is almost certainly the most overpopulated continent on earth. They share the land with the Deva and Asura, with colonies of Neanderthal and with many Humans, as well as the remnants of the Rakshan culture.

They tend to settle near rivers or lakes and their cities are usually built alongside such bodies of water with much of the structure submerged. Known for being multicultural and welcoming these Cities tend to be highly decorated with many temples and with well kept streets. The floors of the public buildings are fashioned of polished marble to negate the Nagah’s difficulty with rough terrain.

Of all the saurian breeds, Nagah society is the most infused with magical and spiritual practices and they built many more colleges and temples than other sentient Reptiles. In fact, while most Nagah have no occult abilities it is a common misconception among Mammals that every Nagah is a sorcerer. The common Saurian language is believed to have been developed by the Nagah, improving on a basic hieroglyphic alphabet used by ancient Nitzsche.

  • Natural Weapons: The tails of Nagah allow them to tail slap in combat for Str+d4 damage. • Natural Swimmers: Nagah tails make powerful swimmers, giving them +2 on their Swimming rolls and increasing their swimming Pace to their Swimming skill.
  • Saurian Senses: Saurians’ lizard tongues can “taste” the air, giving them +2 to Notice rolls. They are always considered active guards for Stealth checks.
  • Constrict: A Nagah may choose to constrict a foe in her coils by making a Fighting attack. The round it entangles and each round thereafter it causes Str+d6 damage. The prey may attempt to escape by getting a raise on an opposed Strength roll. Given its long tail size, a Nagah may constrict one foe and bite another, suffering the standard multiaction penalty.
  • Warm Natured: Though not truly coldblooded, saurians are not comfortable in cold environments. They suffer a –4 penalty to resist cold environmental effects. Nagah slither along the ground and although their underside is tough, it is still far more delicate that a booted foot and they receive damage if they try to fire walk or cross sharp gravel etc.
  • Legless: -2 pace on land and running die is d4, additionally it is almost impossible for a Nagah to climb as the weight of their tail negates them doing all the work with their arms.
